And while my reasons are personal, they are almost all united by the desire to impact children lives. So to understand my journey of becoming a teacher; let me start slightly from the beginning of the career path.
I enter this wonderful field of being an Early Childhood educator at the age eighteen. And from the very beginning of my journey, I noticed there was a high demand for great appropriate development Early Childhood teachers. And with that knowledge of knowing there were a high demand for experiences teachers in the early education field. I know this was the road I want to be on towards my career, dreams and goal.
One of the most important reasons I became a teacher is to make a difference in the lives of as many students, I came encounter with throughout my career path. I want to be more than just their teacher whom taught colors and shapes. But I wanted to be the teacher who took their mind on an adventure of leaning as their young brains soak up all the knowledge of learning at such a critical learning stage of their life. I pushed forward and became a teacher because I wanted be an inspiration to the children. And show them it’s ok to fail at things but giving up is not an option. I became a teacher to show the children love, respect and the appropriate way to treat their peers and show their emotions.
I became a teacher because I simply love working with children of all ages. It gives me great joy and happiness and a sense of accomplishment to see the knowledge that’s within me. Be embedded and shine throughout the children whom lives I touch. As I simply took my time to genuinely engage with the children while they played. I listen to their words and saw express their feelings as we had conversations, and group discussion or in their daily activities. I became a teacher because I wanted every child to know they can learn at a great level. To teach them it’s no limit to what they can do once they put their mind to it. I wanted to teach them that every small step they take is an enormous step to develop into their full potential.
