This artifact is my Father Involvement Advocacy paper and brochure I used from the workshop. I held to bring awareness to all father about the importance of them being actively involved in their child/children, every day growth process. While I were orchestrated this Father Involvement paper and workshop, I done a lot of research on statistics of children behaviors when children father are in involved, versus children who are at risk because they are being raised by an single mother. I host meetings with some of the single mothers, and with some of the mothers who are not single mothers. But are happily married and still living the life of a single mother when it comes to getting help from their mate to be more involved with their child/children. The main focus for meeting with the mothers, were to gain knowledge of the mothers concerns that they may have when it comes to the fathers not being hundred percent emotionally and active involve in the child/children daily grow process.
However by orchestrating this Father Involvement workshop my professional growth has improved in a tremendous way. Because not only was I bring knowledge and awareness to the fathers but I was learning as, about the risk children faces when not having a father figure in their life. Now some of the fathers at the learning center I’m at will come to me for important guidance on ways to appropriately engage with their child/children activities. The fathers seek help for information such as, making reading to their child/children fun enough to hold the child attention all through the whole book. Some father asks how they enter their daughters pretend play without feeling less masculine. Nevertheless by advocating and engaging in this Father Involvement workshop, it helped me meet standard’s 4 rules by NAEYC. I learned the importance and the effects on children when raise in a single mother household.
